Queer as folk

There are still posts that I’m scared to publish on this site. Well fuck!

I still haven’t watch pinkTV but this channel had advertised for the whole year that it was broadcasting Queer as folk. Fancy pictures turned me one.

The story takes place in Pittsburg. Characters are all different, you can’t help getting attached.

  • Boring accouter : Ted,
  • the all-star fucker : Brian,
  • the one in love with Brian : Michael,
  • the one who actually fucked Brian, (freshman) Justin.
  • the L-couple having a child : Mel & Linz
  • the engaged mother : Miky’s
  • the what-will-the-Johnson’s say mother : Justin’s

I like especially Brian Kenny’s character. He’s the fusion of cold steel and warmful intelligence. He had always known what he wants. He is independant and successful.

I think you find all themes in the series. HIV, infidelity, coupling, clubs, drugs, sex-adicts, paternity, rove, getting older, first time and… designer clothes.

And I recall… I was so enthousiat that I tried telling Olvier about the first episode. When I took my breath I realize that I was so consise that I’ve shocked him. One more word and I would have made him thow up :D

The lasts episodes get even better. When Ted (the accounter) falls in love with a cristal-guy (a drug addict). Everytime they’re together you can hear la Traviata. I don’t know if this opera is a tragedia.

In the last episode there’s a fantastic scene with Justin (the young) and Brian dancing together at Justin’s school prom. Did catch by breath.
