I turn to use windows more and more but I didn’t want to lower my security requirements. I became quite demanding using Mac OS X. I believe that windows’ basic security is not enough and after browsing Cnet turned to choose ZoneAlarm Security Suite.

It’s definitly good stuff : I don’t feel any performance loss, it’s proposing default choice for well-known application and blocks all the nasty behaviour of some others. No more unrequested agent in the taskbar, no port opening without my approval.

I also tried the protect my id feature which restrains my computer to send informations that I setted (common password, name, nicknames, address, credit card number, accound number). This feature rocks! It made me realize that I didn’t paid enough attention to my ids. Now I have imap, smtp, im all being encrypted.
