Bad suprise after downloading Hoary’s pre-release, the sound output became weird. Beep was alright and I was still able to hear something, but the pitch and the volume were awful.

After checking the kernel module, the sound deamon and the vlc output plugin I figgured out that it was a channel causing this. From the commande line, launch alsamixer use the M key to mute some channels.
